Virtuemart 2.0 and Joomla 2.5

We know that there is a big push for J2.5. Everyone wants to upgrade. But, its just not ready yet. J2.5 will need some time to get the bugs out of it and get it so it is working perfectly. Developers need time to upgrade the components, modules and plugins so they are compatible.And virtuemart needs time for J2.5 to become stable before they can complete their upgrade . VM2.0 for J1.7 is not even working perfectly yet.

 

I found some interesting posts about the issues with upgrading VM2.0 so it can work with J2.5.
We are not making this up, it just is not working yet. If your J1.5.x website is working fine with VM1.1.x, stay with it. For now the only thing you will gain with upgrading is headaches.

Thats how we work. I know we are different than other companies. With us, our customers are buying to to a programmer and they manage there own tasks and projects. Who knows better what you want than you yourself. The programmers will do the work as it is assigned, and then the customers review the work. You are your own project manager. Of course, this means that the customer is responsible for the outcome of their project. It upt o them to make sure the work is completes and done on time. This is whay the purchase is time based and not task based.

 

What happens in rare occasions is that a task is assigned that could take full time programming time. We will let you all know when that happens. The programmer will alert our staff and you will be notified. Sometimes things can take an hour, sometimes what seems easy can take many many hours. How would you know if your not a programmer?

So, your arrangement here is for time only, its up to you to manage your tasks and programmer. The customer also needs to check their work to make sure it meets their requirements. Make sure you check your tickets and work progress often, its all up to you.

Welcome to the new site. We have been in business for 4 years. We still have a few bugs to work out, but we are getting there. There are very few new sites launch without some kind of problem. Anyways, let me tell you how we work.

Our customers purchase blocks of time to gain access to one of our programmers. The programmer works for you for what ever number of hours you have purchased. Unlike other companies, this is your programmer. You manage and direct the project and tasks that you need done. There is no project manager as you are the manager. No one knows what you want better than you.

Most people post a few tasks at the end of their work day, and when they return in the morning. most are done. If the programmer has any questions they will post to your ticket. You can also communicate on skype if needed.

So, unlike other services websites, we make you the project manager and its up to you to instruct and task your programmer and get your work done. Make sure you check your programmers work, and if their are any issues, just post and the programmer will fix it. 

Some people find this quite liberating, others need a project manager. If you want one, we can provide, but of course that changes the price. You can have a full time programmer for as low as 1250.00 USD, but add a project manager the price increases to 1750.00.
